is part of the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions Division, providing a wide range of highly specialized opto-mechanical solutions to enhance our customer's capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets.

At Photon Control we design and manufacture high performance optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position.

We are looking for a strong financial analyst to grow their career with a team of talented finance professionals always looking to ensure accuracy, timely reporting and pushes for continuous improvement.

The Financial Analyst is a key driver in the annual budget and forecasting process.

As part of your responsibilities and knowledge growth, you will be take lead on developing/maintaining key operational reporting for our production and sales teams that supports key business decisions.

What you will do is:


  • Coordinating and maintaining the forecast and budget cycles.
  • Focus on revenue forecasting with a focus on assisting operations in their planning process.
  • Assisting with data mining to help identify trends, metrics, and comparable data in support of the business and forecasting process.
  • Develop and adopt quantitative methods, financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and testing to improve value and accuracy of models.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in the reforecasting and budgeting process
  • Working cross functionally with other departments on finance related activities, queries, and supporting departmental goals of being a strategic partner.
  • Assists Department heads and Project Managers on midsize and large complex projects related to operational business functions in being a part of building a suite of reports.
  • Develops and supports both standard and ad hoc reports.

What will you bring to the team, along with your creativity and forward-thinking:

  • 2+ years in a financial and quantitative analysis environment preferably in a growing organization
  • Logic and critical thinking; you can think critically, creatively, and strategically to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • CPA/CFA or final stages or mix of education and experience.
  • Detail oriented, capable of multitasking, selfmotivated and inquisitive
  • Experience with ERPs like Epicor & SAP
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo by always looking for ways to improve existing processes to get the job done.
  • Exposure in a multicurrency environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: 54, ,790.00 CAD per year.

This range is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations.
