Actuarial Analyst, GRMI-International


What is the opportunity?
The successful incumbent will support actuarial reporting, risk management, and IFRS 17 transformation for the reinsurance product lines.


What will you do?

  • Support actuarial financial reporting for the International reinsurance product lines to ensure effective completion of annual, quarterly and monthly actuarial processes.
  • Support IFRS 17 transformation and implementation, including production of comparative runs, enhancement of downstream reporting and processes, etc.
  • Support risk management function, including sensitivity testing and various risk reporting tasks.
  • Contribute as needed to valuation modelling, inforce extract data updates, and annual experience studies.
  • Assist in various actuarial projects as they arise.

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts
  • Minimum 2 to 3 exams completed
  • Actuarial/insurance experience with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, the legislative environment and industry bestpractices. Working experience with Moody's AXIS is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture"
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and nontechnical audience

Nice-to-Have:


  • Working experience with Moody's AXIS, R, Tableau, and SAS
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 requirements
