Our Cyber Risk associate consultant positions provide you with accelerated opportunities to turn your ideas into action as you help our customers assess and improve their security and privacy posture.

As a member of our Risk Advisory Services team, you will join some of the brightest and most diverse minds working in governance, risk and compliance today.


What you'll do

  • Assist Cyber Risk consultants with onsite and virtual client engagements, specifically Governance, Risk, and Compliance projects (GRC)
  • Assist in conducting and documenting risk assessments, gap assessments and internal audits, including the communication of findings and recommendations to clients in verbal and written format.
  • Support clients in the implementation and/or remediation of information security controls. Activities may include but are not limited to assisting with the development of security roadmaps, performance of security audits, assisting with risk management tasks and/or metrics collection.
  • Assist Cyber Risk consultants with information security and privacy audits to evaluate client business risks and determine if adequate security and privacy controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, security tools and network technologies.
  • Coordinate internal Cyber Risk meetings and take minutes where needed.
  • Build strong and frictionless relationships with CDW internal teams to maintain a united workforce and enable the achievement of business objectives.

What you need to succeed

Must-have

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, complete lack of criminal convictions etc.), and willing to undergo vetting to verify this if necessary.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to contribute in internal team meetings.
  • Desire to work in a constantly changing environment as part of a team of Information Security Advisors as well as independently.
  • Desire to build relationships and connect with clients on an ongoing basis.
  • Willingness to learn about performing risk assessments, compliance audits (e.g. ISO 27001, SSAE18 SOC13, CIS Controls, PCI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the CISA and/or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor designations.
  • Must hold a relevant college or university degree.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in high paced work environments.
  • Willingness to learn about and be involved in new information security, privacy and business related activities
