What is the opportunity?
In this role the Manager, Merchant Services & Agile Labs will effectively manage processes and activities for greater efficiency and integration across the Merchant Services business including implementation and management of controls (product, risk, compliance), and provide Product Owner assistance on Agile Lab initiatives which support the drive to meet annual product performance goals and achieve key performance indicators.
What will you do?
- Attend Agile Lab ceremonies and related meetings providing guidance and clarification as needed. Contribute to continuous improvement/ lessons learned sessions. Resolve Labrelated issues and conflicts, and escalate to Product Owner where required
- Support the Product Owner to identify product requirements for the development team. Communicate with the development team to explain the product features to be implemented
- Support Project Managers and Business Analysts with definition of epics and initial stories
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog in consultation with Product Owner. Translate product manager strategies to development tasks, creating highlevel requirements (stories) as needed, ensuring they meet customer requirements
- Support reprioritization of stories to ensure alignment with Merchant Services priorities while optimizing Lab resources' allocation
- Ensure Project Manager maintains the delivery roadmap with forecasted dates aligned to Lab priorities.
- Support change management activities with relevant stakeholders as required
- Attend planning and status meetings with suppliers as needed to speak to impact of new and ongoing initiatives on planned work priorities
- Support Director, Merchant Services with annual product planning activities.
- Manage changes to Merchant Services product risk and compliance by developing, updating and ensuring alignment with product procedures that may support change as a result of Lab priorities. Ensure adherence to RBC policy and procedure library (PPL) guidelines as well as card network operating regulations and standards to protect licensing arrangements.
- Support daytoday management of Merchant Services business as directed by the Director, Merchant Services.
- Support Merchant Services and Agile Lab communication activities including development and updating of communications.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- University degree with a business orientation or minimum 3 years related experience.
- Proven leadership, facilitation and team building skills
- Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation with internal and external partners at all levels
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Proven organizational and selfmanagement skills.
