The mission of the HR MAI team is to provide expertise to all iA business units to help create a positive integration experience for employees and leaders joining the team and to have a direct impact on the unified iA team culture.


This new, fully dedicated team lives in agile project mode and is a strategic link to the business lines while being an integral part of the Human Resources team.


As an energetic and integral member of a multidisciplinary team and matrix-based team, the HR MAI Compensation and Benefits Advisor plays a pivotal role in the activities inherent in the context of mergers, acquisitions and business integrations with specialists.


More specifically, your role is to:

  • Be a key player in the HR MAI practice: from due diligence to full integration_
  • Provide unifying leadership to rally the HR team around the project vision, focusing effective efforts on high business value priorities
  • Oversee the indepth analysis of direct and indirect compensation components and benefits during project due diligence and make recommendations
  • Oversee the positioning of new employees and leaders within iA's compensation structure
  • Measure the impact of alignment between compensation and benefits within the scope of the project
  • Come into alignment with and work together with the Compensation and Benefits Centre for Excellence
  • Participate in designing the integration journey for employees and leaders specific to the project according to the needs of the business line with respect to compensation
  • Participate in actions related to the project, from planning to the transition to "daytoday operations" mode
  • Work in collaboration with HR business partners, the extended HR team and other internal and/or external stakeholders to align activities
  • Be proactive in identifying risks and roadblocks, but more importantly in defining the actions necessary to resolve them
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner
  • Establish links with other business line initiatives and identify opportunities for synergies
  • Be coowner, draft and maintain the HR MAI playbook
  • Supply the HR MAI toolbox with compensation and benefits analyses for the continuous improvement of project efficiency
  • Participate in the company's transformation_
  • Act as an influencer in the adoption of Lean-Agile practices and tools
  • Adapt to multimode teamwork: with agile teams, in Lean-Agile transformation mode, or sometimes in more traditional modes

  • Relevant university degree and at least 3 yearsof experience in compensation and benefits
  • Experience in merger, acquisition and integration projects
  • Knowledge of Lean-Agile methodologies
  • Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal and external French
- and English-speaking colleagues or partners across Canada

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of the Workday HR system (asset)
  • Knowledge of LeanKit (asset)
