Your Role


You will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of photography including both product and model photos while creating content for all social media platforms.

This is an integral and exciting role in our business

  • Photograph & edit high quality and engaging content for our website and various social media platforms including both model and still life product photos that are aligned with our brand and contribute to our storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a content strategy that aligns with our goals and reaches our target audience while assisting the team with inhouse product launches and collaborations.
  • Conceptualize, film, or direct videographers to create moving content that engages viewers and effectively communicate our brand message.
  • Other projects, duties, and assignments as required. So Pretty is a closeknit startup and we all do a little bit of everything

About You

  • Strong technical understanding of photography best practices around capture, equipment selection and use, camera, lighting, setup, and mounting.
  • Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and color theory with a creative eye to help us produce visually captivating content.
  • Proficiency in industrystandard software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva and Shopify (not required but an asset) and social platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different creators and an editing team while taking ownership of projects from idea to completion.
  • Strong communication with the ability to effectively convey ideas and concepts.
  • You are exceptionally detail oriented, hyperorganized, collaborative, and a resourceful problemsolver.
  • Knowledge of current trends.
  • Strong attention to detail an ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Eager to take on new challenges, introduce and implement new approaches and ideas, grow, test, and learn.
  • Deep desire to put drive & effort into your work.
  • Capable of succeeding in a fast paced and highly flexible environment.
  • Completion of postsecondary education will be considered an asset.
