    Description

    One of Adecco's clients is hiring an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate various aspects of their logistics operations, in Toronto, ON. In this role you will be responsible for all logistics (material handling, warehousing and shipment of product) across Canada as well as export of product across North America and internationally (as required).

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the traffic department (3 direct reports) as well as develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
    • Manage and Optimize the Logistics and Warehousing platform for all material handling, warehousing and shipments of product across Canada.
    • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce; Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
    • Evaluate and report on KPIs
    • Work with each department/entity to help with their freight requirements.
    • Interact with the Customs Brokers to negotiate pricing and resolve any customs issues.
    • Work with the Accounting department to create and manage budgets.
    • To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company Performance appraisal process and merit rating system
    • To actively participate in company, staff or individual one on one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the country.
    • To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
    • University Degree
    • Logistics training an asset
    • 10 years of Customs and logistics experience in an Industrial Setting
    • Export experience an asset
    • Excellent Excel skills an asset
