About the role
We are looking for Purchase to Pay Officers / Concierge Support who are comfortable to work in a fast paced and high volume transactional environment.
The role is responsible for delivering and fulfilling the level 1 (transactional deliverables, stakeholder query responses and Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order conversions) and at times level 2 (deeper analysis of transactional requirements, problem solving and continuous improvements) for our North American business units.
The role will collaborate with both regional and global partners to process transactions, while ensuring the business requirements and escalations are fulfilled in a timely manner.

- Be engaging with stakeholders across various regions within North America, and working effectively to resolve queries and escalations
- Convert Purchases Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO), whilst complying to the Rio Tinto Procurement Standard
- Conduct market testing for one off purchases ? $25,000
- Monitoring of Level 1 Concierge queries, with possible extension to level 2 support for specific business units
- Determining and prioritizing the urgency of Concierge support tickets and direct inquiries.
- Ensuring that the tickets are classified correctly and routed to the appropriate resolver.
- Support, with possibility to reconcile, Accounts Payable escalations and trouble shooting
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, and purchase orders are accurately composed
- Research and resolve invoice, or purchase requisition/ purchase order, discrepancies and issues
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, whilst ensuring compliance requirements are adhered to
- Possibility to educate, and train the business units on processes, and SAP functionalities
- To read and analyse reports appropriate to the responsibilities of the role.

- There may be some evolution in the role but would predominantly be an analytical function.
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

Advanced in French and English, both written and speaking
- To show confidence, through excellent communication skills, to approach and influence stakeholders, which can include operational teams, vendors, and commercial teams.
- Knowledge of general purchasing/buying and accounting procedures (highly desirable)
- Extensive knowledge and previous experience with
SAP, Ariba Network, Power BI and SharePoint
- Experience with
change management
- Proficiency in
data entry and management
