Production Supervisor - Hamilton

Job description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our food manufacturing client to oversee daily production operations and plant utilities in Hamilton, ON region.
Pay - $100k-$120kShift - 12-hour rotating shifts
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets
Operate, monitor, and oversee boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, and utilities in accordance with regulatory standards
Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, CFIA, and food safety regulations
Lead, coach, and support production operators and maintenance staff across shifts
Monitor production KPIs including efficiency, downtime, waste, and labour utilization
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues
Conduct shift handovers, incident reporting, and production documentation
Enforce workplace health & safety policies and ensure a clean, safe production environment
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer certification (mandatory)
3–5+ years of supervisory experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Proven experience working with DCS / PLC-based control systems
Strong knowledge of boilers, refrigeration systems, utilities, and pressure equipment
Hands-on experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working shifts, including nights or weekends if required
