FINTRAC is a separate agency, and has its own classification system. This position is classified as FT-03, which is equivalent to the following groups and levels: IT-02, CS-02.

Duties:


The Infrastructure Analyst provides professional expertise toward the implementation, integration, operational support and maintenance of FINTRAC's infrastructure including servers, and other hardware such as desktop computers, phones, printers, internal and external networks in order to facilitate service delivery to internal and external clients.


  • Provides guidance to management, program specialists and clients to facilitate development and support of IT infrastructure/operations including: workstations, server and connectivity, IT asset acquisition and life cycle management.
  • Providing support towards the implementation, integration and operational support of FINTRAC's infrastructure and IT services on premises and in the Azure cloud environment.
  • The Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for resolving complex technical problems in the support of the delivery of FINTRAC desktops, while interpreting and sharing applicable policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Accountable/responsible for monitoring FINTRAC's critical systems, evaluates and diagnoses technical infrastructure problems and proposes solutions, both proactively and in response to user requests.
  • Participates in discussions with clients, managers, technical staff, and service providers (including SSC) to obtain agreement on requirements for services and to resolve technical issues. Participates in discussions with technical staff to ensure support is in line with overall IT policies and standards.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution college, university) with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

EXPERIENCE
EX1.

Proven experience in supporting IT infrastructure, including hands-on experience with servers, network systems, and hardware such as desktop computers, phones, and printers.

EX2. Demonstrated competency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various IT systems, including physical and virtual networked environments.
