ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

This role in summary:


An integral member of the KitchenAid Canada sales team, the National Account Manager will work directly with senior buyers and merchandisers of large national and regional retail accounts to develop and implement strategic business plans to profitably grow their business and achieve specific volume targets.

They will ensure flawless execution of merchandising, advertising, and trade program plans across both in-store and online selling environments.


This position will report to the KitchenAid Canada Country Manager and will work closely with cross functional partners such as marketing, supply chain, and finance among other departments.

This role will work out of a home office with a weekly requirement to be present in the Head office in Mississauga one day per week or as required.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Directly accountable for account P&L's including unit volume, sales dollars and profit
  • Lead execution of Go to Market strategies for the account including optimal instore and online assortment, promotional and advertising strategy, as well as trade spend
  • Make ongoing recommendations for business optimization through the use of sales and POS data
  • Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by deeply understanding their business
  • Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts for sales and operational planning
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently managing trade spend to drive ROI.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing to ensure the instore and online environment is optimized including the use of digital content, POP, and displays
  • Work closely with a number of cross functional partners in order to maximize business outcomes including category management, finance, supply chain, etc.
  • Competitive activity including distribution, promotional activity, and innovation
  • Travel to the customer at their headquarters locations

Minimum requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales

Preferred skills and experiences:


  • Bachelor's Degree
in Business Administration

  • Experience in small appliances and/or espresso/coffee machines
  • Experience in the retail environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Analytical skills and ability to use data to drive insight selling
  • Communicate in English & French is an asset
  • Networking and communication skills ability to build strong internal and external working relationships
  • Uses creative thinking to anticipate mutual opportunities and recommends action
  • Exceptional analytical skills to quickly identify issues and install mitigation strategies as needed
  • Organizational skills and the ability to operate under pressure with multiple tasks, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization supporting crossfunctional business partners.
  • Take initiative, work independently and establish priorities
