    École McTavish High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of High School English Teacher.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor of Arts with a Major in English

    Bachelor of Education

    Desired Qualifications/Skills: It will be an asset to have:

    Previous experience teaching English at the 10/20/30 level.

    The ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents.

    A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.

    Effective organization skills and classroom management.

    The ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.

    An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.

    A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom

    An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives

    A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with high school students.

    Open to teaching a variety of elective classes that best suit the successful applicant.
