In a nutshell, here's what you'll be doing:

Develop highly reliable procurement related policies, procedures, strategies and systems to support business requirements ensuring agreed on Material Requirements Plan (MRP) and Just In Time (JIT) principles and philosophies are adhered to.

Manage a team of buyers, assign work and complete performance evaluations for your team.


Ensure timely, cost-effective material/services acquisition and that product delivery plans and schedules are developed and implemented, in consultation with scheduling, production and engineering.


Create on-going key performance indicators and targets to track cost, schedule, quality and overall performance of suppliers, subcontractors, and the procurement function.

Review, analyze and develop rationale for recommendations to policy changes, as required.

Update management about the actions of the procurement department regularly during weekly meetings.

Plan and ensure optimum use of resources; administer and monitor use against budget. Manage departmental operating, capital, direct/indirect labor, and overall procurement budgets.

  • Ability to maintain and control a departmentwide budget
  • Relevant postsecondary education, with a focus on procurement or equivalent.

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- supply chain management: 3 years (required)
- electronics manufacturing: 3 years (required)
