Position Overview

The primary responsibility of a Shop Labourer is to perform duties in a safe and effective manner at all times when using any tools of the trade; have a proven ability to read and understand shop-specific procedures; properly handle job materials.

Required Credentials:

Be willing to take direction from supervisor(s)
Forklift operator certificate
Possess a minimum Class 5 Driver's License; preferred Class 3 or 5 license

Tasks Include:

- loading and unloaded job site trailers

Picking tool lists and materials as requested by projects
Cleaning trucks and equipment
Forklift operating
Tool repairs
Tool and material pickup and delivery
Occasional multiday project hot shot deliveries
Bringing horse trailers for CVI

Responsibilities include:

Wash machines and equipment
Grease machines and equipment
Assist in keeping the cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas (garbage collection, oil drain area, used oil Ccan clean)
Assist trucker drivers with loading and unloading trucks and trailers
Make parts runs into town
Move units around yard and organize

Safe Work Practices:

Person must be physically fit to perform duties
Be familiar with all safety regulations applicable to the site & assigned work
Be able to identify site First Aid personnel, muster station & emergency response plan
Wear personal protective equipment at all times during shift
Will not perform any duties or work that is unsafe or causes injury
Participate in all safety meetings as required, follow all safety policies and procedures

Competitive wage is paid based on experience.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour
