WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead, as a Quality Assurance Analyst, this position will work side-by-side with several teams including; Education, Web and Game Development, Art, Audio, Customer Support and the other members of the Quality Assurance team to ensure products and services developed by the company meet the company's quality standards.


WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Assist with the planning, improvement, development and execution of both manual and automated tests;
  • Report, diagnose, and validate defects / fixes, as well as come up with and suggest solutions;
  • Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track their progress;
  • Engage in products and services directly and indirectly through user testing and feedback scenarios to uncover, log, and track potential improvements to deliver optimal user experience;
  • Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team;
  • Regularly communicate test progress against schedules, and software test results against requirements and expectations;
  • Perform system, regression, integration, platform, and performance tests to certify various company solutions' stability and usability;
  • Set up and configure test environments;
  • Review all requirements and project deliverables for content accuracy, completeness, and overall quality and report any feedback gaps or inconsistencies;
  • Assist with the implementation of automated testing tools;
  • Create, document, and put into practice standardized usage procedures and guidelines in order to support team members;
  • Report all work progress, roadblocks, relevant challenges and opportunities to management;
  • Maintain a software and hardware inventory;
  • Assist in developing tools and strategies to streamline the testing process to make quality control more effective;
  • Work with management to generate technical designs and schedules;
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of time management trackers including testing hours totals and work time for tasks breakdowns;
  • Assist with research as required to ensure knowledge and practice of industry practices and current trends in technology and education, with the goal of improving quality assurance practices and processes within the company.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION?

  • Degree in computer science, information technology (IT), or a related field, or three years equivalent experience required (can include course work in software design & development)
  • 2 years of experience in software testing
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Highly collaborative demonstrated ability to work exceptionally well in teams

This position is based in St. John's, NL with the opportunity to work remotely.
