Driver Recruiter - Winnipeg, Canada - Bison Transport

- Working with the Driver Recruiting Team to ensure that the Company is provided with high quality and quantity of Drivers and Owner Operators including
- Execute sourcing and recruitment strategies through calling, networking, and direct recruiting efforts
- Interviewing potential company drivers and/or owner operators
- Completing reference checks, and either recommending or declining applicants
- Prescreening all walkin and phone inquiries by driver applicants
- Communicating with operations regarding creating positions for quality applicants, determining the need for positions, and identifying driver trends.
- Actively gathering and analyze strategic information to ensure we remain competitive in the changing marketplace.
- Engage in other projects and activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned
This may include:
- Playing an active role in the ongoing development of the Driver Program, including Driver Retention
- Directing Drivers and Owner Operators to the appropriate department personnel when issues arise and assisting in resolution of driver related issues
- Identify internal inefficiencies and work to make improvements to speed up processes
- Experience working in an outbound recruiting or sales position is required
- Experience working in a metricsdriven environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt well to change
- Progressive knowledge of the Transportation Industry
- Strong time and priority management skills

- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problemsolving abilities
- PC skills
- Windows, MS Office Suite, Internet
- Experience using Workday is an asset
