At ATCO Structures, we are looking for Safety Coordinators to support our Operations Teams in BC region specifically in Clearwater, Valemount, and Blue River.

This is a full-time 6 months temporary contract position.

This is an exciting 'boots on the ground' position for someone who enjoys helping others, who is comfortable building relationships, asking questions, to help learn and grow their knowledge and ultimately become a stronger, safer worker

What Else You Get To Do:

  • Perform day-to-day HSE responsibilities at a construction site and support Construction Manager with administrative duties
  • Perform worksite inspections and report deficiencies to the appropriate level of supervision including recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct incident investigations and provide preventative/corrective actions where required using established incident investigation principles.
  • Regularly provide an analysis of health and safety data, using key performance indicators
  • Assist site personnel with hazard assessments, providing access to additional resources when required, maintaining documentation
  • Assist the Health & Safety Lead in supporting Site H&S meetings, incident command activities, and coordinate health and safety training and provide individual mentorship whenever necessary.

Who You Are:

  • A minimum of Post-Secondary Certificates in Health & Safety is required, Health and safety diploma is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigation practices is considered an asset.
  • An NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation, emergency response training, and experience is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate excel skills required
  • Strong multitasking, teamwork, excellent communication and analytical skills are crucial for success.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environment regulatory requirements in Canada is an asset.
