We are a construction company in Coquitlam that specializes in interior renovation and remodeling in the commercial building space.

We are looking for construction worker with some carpentry skills that is a quick learner and can take direction but also take initiative and complete tasks easily.

You will be completing a variety of different tasks. Everyday could be something new, making this role ideal for someone who likes versatility in their work.

We are seeking someone with experience working on a construction site or as a contractor previously.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee a construction site recognize what needs to get done, complete tasks and also delegate tasks when needed
• Perform tasks including physical labor involving but not limited to basic carpentry, painting, drywall patching, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials
• Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed
• Read and understand blueprints and drawings and assemble structures based on them
• Procure materials for construction sites as needed and as per the drawings
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery as required
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site

Skills:

• 5 years experience in construction industry preferred
• Must speak English and be able to communicate effectively.
• Must have some understanding of mechanical, structural and plumbing.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending or kneeling
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
• No criminal record

Bonus Points:

• Having your own basic tools
• Read all types of buildings drawings
• Ability to make changes in AutoCad or other software

Salary:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
