Description
Reporting to the Manager of Community Support Transportat

  • Provide door through door transportation for clients scheduled on a daily basis
  • Assist/ supervise clients on/off vehicles as needed
  • Ensure clients' safety on van
  • Ensure clients' mobility devices are secured on the van
  • Assist clients with seatbelts as needed and ensure they are on while the vehicle is in motion
  • Perform pretrip inspection of van prior to daily use and report on van's mechanical condition on a daily basis
  • Assist in supporting social programs (e.g. serving lunch, walking group outings)
  • Transport items to and from Ottawa West Community Support/Aging in Place locations
  • Assist with pickup and dropoff of onsite storage items
  • Make runs for necessary operations such as grocery shopping/food hamper delivery
  • Considers safety of self and coworkers while performing work
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
Qualificatoins

  • Experience on working with group social outing/senoirs QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum High School graduation diploma
  • Have a valid class F licence and min. 3 years commercial driving experience
  • Must maintain annual certification CPR
  • Be fluent in the English language and writing skills
  • Be able to deal effectively with the disabled and elderly
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills

Salary:
$17.50-$21.00 per hour
