Job description
We are building a production-ready course selling web application using and are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to design and implement a secure, scalable authentication system from start to finish.
This is a focused 3-day project for someone who has strong experience with authentication architecture, OAuth integrations, and production-grade security practices.
Project Scope
We need a fully functional authentication system that includes the following:
Core Authentication
Email and password registration and login
Secure password hashing using industry best practices
Email verification flow
Forgot password and reset password functionality
JWT or secure session-based authentication
Role-based access control (Admin, Instructor, Student)
Social Login (SSO)
Google OAuth integration via Google Cloud Console
GitHub OAuth integration via GitHub Developer Settings
Proper account linking when the same email is used across different providers
Security Requirements
Secure session management
HTTP-only cookies
CSRF protection
Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
Structured and secure error handling
Proper environment variable management
Production-grade security best practices
Tech Stack Requirements

PostgreSQL or MongoDB (open to recommendation)

Prisma (preferred)
Authentication library:

Required Experience
Strong hands-on experience with
OAuth implementation (Google and GitHub)
JWT and session-based authentication
Secure authentication system design
Database schema design and integration
Experience deploying production applications
Bonus experience:
Course platforms or LMS systems
SaaS applications
Stripe integration (planned for a future phase)
