This position entails a high level of client contact so good English communication skills are a must. You should also be familiar with Quickbooks, Sage, and Caseware.We place great importance on the fit between all team members. Role & Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and balance accounts using computerized systems
- Post journal entries
- Prepare trial balances
- Keep general ledgers
- Prepare financial statements
- Calculate and prepare paycheques and payments for suppliers
- Other administrative duties and projects as required
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles
- Strong data entry and mathematical skills
- Handson experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal English)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Exemplary time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Experience with bookkeeping software
