The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) began operations on November 1, 2017 to provide stronger consumer protection for Ontarians living and investing in condominiums.

Through effective regulation, the CMRAO strengthens the condominium management profession and helps to protect consumers in Ontario's complex and rapidly growing condominium sector.

The CMRAO is the regulatory body that sets standards and enforces the mandatory licensing of condominium managers and condominium management provider businesses.


Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with the resolution of licensing issues as they arise through research and review of files, as needed.
  • Maintains licensing and complaint files and records (electronic or paper) in line with records management standards and processes.
  • Provides administrative support to project teams related to licensing and compliance initiatives, as required.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or certificate or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Up to three (3) years of progressive experience in a customer service environment. Experience in a regulatory environment would be an asset.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to analyze and provide recommendations in the resolution of a range of licensing and compliance related matters.
  • Written communication skills to prepare a range of correspondence and reports.
  • Oral communication skills to offer customer support on a range of licensing and compliance related matters.
  • Understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.

Working Conditions

The CMRAO operates in a hybrid environment where staff are required to work from the office two days per week.
