Applicants will be considered in the following order:1) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees.

2) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units)


Reporting to the Principal through the Office Supervisor, the successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position Level E will work 35 hours per week, 12 months per year, effective May 21, 2024.


Responsibilities:

Support the vision, philosophy and procedures of the school;
Able to assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Office Supervisor;
Assist with computer systems, including assisting with compiling of school reports and maintenance of data using Aspen, GradeBook, K212, EasyConnect, School-Day and EQAO;
Assist with reception of Occasional Teaching staff which would include issuing keys and packages;
Responsible for Schedule 'A' and Student Activities budget including deposits, petty cash, purchase orders, warehouse orders and office supplies;
Assist with managing Mark Reporting, Semester Set-Up, School Website, Staff Handbook, Staff database and any school related initiatives;
Assist with exams, Commencement and photocopier (codes for staff, repair tickets and order supplies);
Interact positively with students, staff and community;
Answer and screen requests from the school community; and

Other duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor and/or Principal.


Qualifications:

A Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required;
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the administrative team of the school;
Working knowledge and experience with Aspen - including custom reports, MS Office, Word Press, Excel, MarkBook, K212, GAFE, School-Day, EasyConnect and Windows is required;
Possess excellent interpersonal skills;
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with staff, students and the community;
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills;
Possess the ability to complete assigned duties with mínimal supervision; and

Previous work experience in a secondary school office would be an asset.
