Position Summary:


Are you an analytical thinker with a knack for accurately assessing project requirements and costs? Do you possess a strong background in mechanical or electrical fields within the commercial sector? Performance Objectives:


  • Review project specifications and collaborate with stakeholders to understand project scope.
  • Analyze plans to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects using advanced software tools.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Be comfortable making presentations, communicating in person, via phone or written communication.
  • Presents detailed proposals to clients, showcasing project scope, costs, and timelines in person or virtually.
  • Presents self in a dynamic, confident manner in all interactions with clients and coworkers.
  • Is engaged in daily sales training, is eager to learn more how to improve and is an active participant in daily roleplaying and understands the culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database to enhance estimating accuracy.
  • Attend, contribute and demonstrate top performance in the daily sales training and development courses offered by the company.

Capabilities / Key Competencies:


  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or AutoBID.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Education & Experience:


  • Journeyman certificate in Plumbing, Electrical, or HVAC/R.
  • Controls, automation, and building systems experience is an asset.
  • Equivalent experience in a previous estimation role.

Working Conditions:


  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client and job sites as needed.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$80,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
