Job Description:


AECOM is seeking an
Architecture Discipline Lead to be based in Edmonton, AB.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Must possess a intensive and diversified knowledge of architecture practice with emphasis on design, building materials, construction methods, integration of engineering disciplines, and building costs/codes.
  • Provides architectural technical leadership and is considered to be a fully capable professional in that field.
  • Accountable for the overall Technical & Design Excellence of the practice or group.
  • Responsible for contributing to and implementing regionwide design standards; may also administer and supervise the architectural department.
  • Establishes and maintains responsibility for design process.
  • Fosters an environment of learning, innovation, and a passion for architecture.
  • Plays a leadership role in the external Industry and Design communities (e.g. Teaching, Juries, Papers, Conferences, Publishing, Social Media)
  • Oversees design presentations, monitors project design development, and provides design direction and support to ensure consistent and highquality design regionwide.
  • Coordinates with project leaders and clients to establish overall design goals, objectives and criteria.
  • Resolves important questions, and plans and coordinates work.
  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains seniorlevel relationships with key clients.
  • Proactively creates connections between new and existing clients and other senior leaders in the business.
  • Thinks and acts holistically, leveraging AECOM's capabilities across Business Lines/Regions.
  • Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
  • Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments.

Qualifications:

Licensed Architect.

Additional Information

Eight (8)+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Master's Degree an asset.
