Currently we have an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to advance their career as a Summer Student - Finance - Temporary Reduced Full-Time (30 hours/week)


POSITION OVERVIEW


Join us as a Finance Summer Student and help to Create Health and Build Community in East Toronto As a Summer Student you will work with us in the fight against Covid-19.

You will work on Covid-19, redevelopment and operations related projects and other initiatives in collaboration with various departments and teams across the hospital and external partners.

This position is offered through the support of Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in information gathering and organization for Ministry related COVID19 reporting
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of capital reports
  • Assist in data collection and validation efforts for ministry reporting
  • Contribute to daily and adhoc tasks of the business office
  • Support projects and initiatives throughout, including daily operations, planning, logistics, and communications.
  • Support the documentation of best practices to ensure sustainability
  • Provide operational support to our staff
  • Assist with data modeling, analysis and evaluation
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma, required.
  • Enrollment in a relevant postsecondary program, required. Business or Accounting field, preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong demonstration of tact and diplomacy with a customer service focus
  • Expectation of this role encompasses the need to maintain confidentiality with respect to all aspects of the work being performed
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and prioritize workload
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with information gathering and the ability to synthesize and summarize information
  • Ability to prepare written reports and documents that are clear and concise
  • Comfortable working within a team as a leader and/or team member and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Students must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person under Refugee Protection this does NOT include those with a study visa, work visa or refugee status
