The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province.

We are currently hiring for a part time
Support Worker to provide childcare and to transport to daycare, therapies and extra-curricular activities.

The successful applicant will work to support the Foster Parent and the children in their care to develop life skills, engage in interactive play and general supervision to ensure safety.

You will be flexible in order to successfully meet the changing demands in the workplace.

The chosen applicant will also be confident, self-motivated and an individual who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and who is courteous and attentive to detail.

Additionally, you will be a team player that is willing to help out as needed and must be comfortable driving.

You will be open and accepting of change and be open to continuous learning opportunities.

Job type: 14 hrs. per week

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00am to 10:00am; Saturdays 9am to 2pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working in the field of childcare/early childhood development, preference will be given to applicants who have training, skills and/or experience working with children with a range of developmental delays and diverse challenges.
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, supervisors, and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form.
Must have a valid driver's license, provide a current driver's abstract and comply with insurance requirements
Criminal records Check (Within 3 Months)

SALARY & BENEFITS:

$17.00 per hour

Health and Dental Benefits are eligible to employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week; Ongoing training as required.
