Barber Collins Security is looking for a Part Time Security guard to work Every Friday and Saturday night at a client location in the south of Guelph.

We will only consider applicants who meet the following criteria.

  • Have a personal vehicle to get to work as bus access is limited

  • Able to commit to Minimum 1 year at this account

Responsibilities:


  • Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Interact regularly with the public with importance on good customer service and public relations.
  • Conduct regular patrols in the building for security purposes and to varify client employees are safe working alone
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances.
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
  • Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained Security Guard
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of double vaccination.
- valid security license

Job Type:

Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:

$17.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Guelph, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
