Position Description

Qualifications

Summer and year round responsibilities:


  • Exterior garbage removal and bag replacement from all garbage cans.
  • Grounds litter pick up
  • Maintenance of grounds, trim low hanging branches cut and remove large weeds or overgrown shrubs.
  • Event and BBQ setup, as required tables, chairs and BBQ tanks
  • Maintain, clean and power wash compactor area as required.
  • Power wash and clean main entrances to all buildings as needed.
  • Garbage removal and litter pick in indoor garage parking areas.
  • Familiarity with grounds keeping gas operated equipment considered an asset.
  • Removal and disposal of wildlife (birds and squirrels) and cleanup of feces.
  • Maintain a clean workshop and truck, responsibility for procurement of fuel.
  • Any Additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Additional Winter duties

  • Emergency removal of snow from entrances, exterior stairs and salting as needed with shovel.
  • Snow clearing of unit1 yard with snow blower and salting
  • Salting throughout the site as required to deal with unforeseen freezing.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Please Note:
This full-time, permanent position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.


Salary Range:
$ $30.95 per hour
