Description

Responsibilities:

Communicate with various Foreman, Superintendents and Coordinate various construction activities
Drive a variety of trucks in a safe manner following transportation driving laws
Must be able to perform necessary pre/posttrip inspections on vehicles and ensure regular greasing & washing of trucks & trailers
Safely Operate different Milling equipment as required
Assist with general laborer tasks as required
Ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times
Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings

Qualifications:

Minimum 1year experience driving commercial trucks or operating milling equipment is required.
Must possess a valid class 1 driver's license (with air endorsement) with clean drivers abstract.
Minimum High School education or equivalent is required.
Pre-Trip & Fatigue Management Experience training will be considered an asset.
Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure is required.
Ability to communicate in a respectful manner at all times is required.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required.
Ability to work independently with little supervision is required.
Familiarity & experience with city driving and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends is required.
Valid safety certifications

Additional Information:

This is a seasonal position.
This position is eligible for overtime.
Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
Training will be provided for various activities.
We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (offseason).
There is potential for oncall work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season
Seasonal work; Long hours; 67 days/week at peak season (Weekends as well)
