Position Summary:

  • Conduct Probabilistic Reversal Learning, social defeat stress, open field and social interaction tests on mice
  • Collect data from behavioral experiments (Med-PC and Ethovision data)
  • Perform data analysis from data collected
  • Slice brains from experimental animals and prepare slices for microscopy
  • Interprets research data and then reports all results to the principal investigator and discuss findings.
  • Plan follow up experiments or additional data analysis.
  • Implements discussed changes or improvements to existing methods if and as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Animal handling and behavior, histology techniques, data analysis.

Experience and education:

  • Lab work experience (minimum 2 semesters) in the field of neuroscience.
  • Completed undergrad degree
