There's a new restaurant coming to Truro We are currently under renovations and look to be up and running the beginning of September.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus in absence of hostess.
- Present menus to guests, explain specials, and answer any questions regarding food, beverage selections with knowledge of proper food and drink pairings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Check on guests regularly to inquire about their needs, refill drinks, and offer additional food or beverages.
- Prepare and deliver accurate bills and process payments, including handling cash and using electronic payment systems.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination of orders.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas, including cleaning and arranging tables, chairs, and tableware.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including workstations, dining areas, and service stations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail offerings.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order taking and delivery.
- Ability to work well within a team, collaborating with colleagues to provide exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the food service industry.
- Knowledge of POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing outstanding hospitality.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Truro, NS B2N 4B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Hospitality: 3 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
