Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM


Responsibilities:

Production Management

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure production targets and daily welding hours are met.
  • Coordinate production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to frontline unionized employees.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance conversations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Address employee concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and provide safety training as needed.

Inventory and Logistics:

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and ontime delivery of finished products.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.

Payroll Administration:

  • Accurately track and record employee hours worked.
  • Enter payroll data into the Kebrite system and verify accuracy.
  • Submit payroll information before payroll processing cutoff times.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary in Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel or metal fabrication industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with unionized work environments and collective bargaining agreements is an asset.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a selfstarter.
  • Detailoriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Proficient in Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), ability to use a personal computer and various software packages such word processing and spreadsheet design.
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours weekly in our Brampton facility.

$65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
