Common products sold include Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel.

The Warehouse Handler position is responsible for executing general warehouse tasks, including:

Receiving (unloading semi-trucks with forklift, completing receiving documentation),

- shipping (picking and preparing material),
- packaging (preparing pallets, strapping, marking material),
- loading semi-trucks with forklift (dry van and flat deck),
- proper handling and storage of materials/products,
- adhering to proper inventory controls & company policies,
- cleaning/organization warehouse and compound, and other general duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience and material handling (packaging, storing, loading),
Demonstrated ability to multitask, in a highpace environment, with accuracy,
Effective communication skills (written and verbal),
Valid Driver's License. Experience driving a five (5) ton truck is an asset,
Min. grade 12 education or equivalent,
Experience with both metric and imperial units of measure

(Ex:

footage, inches, pounds),

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,
Experience with other equipment: chop saws, automatic saws, power tools,
Experience with metal (types and shapes) is preferred,

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

Unloads material from carriers, crosschecks against purchase orders for accuracy, inspects for damages, and documents receipt or escalates issues.
Moves material to and from inventory locations to the shipping and receiving area to.
Selecting the right material from the marked locations.
Prepares, processes (cuttolength as required), and routes material for shipment.
Prepares/completes packing lists & Bills of Lading on a timely and accurate basis.
Loads and unloads materials in accordance with standard operating policies & procedures.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Strong work ethic and dedication to team and individual performance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Constant walking, bending, and standing throughout the day.
Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves.
Regular requirement to lift 5080 pounds and occasional lifting of 80+ pounds.
Occasional climbing of ladders and use of other equipment.
