Looking for a caring work environment that is fulfilling? Come join us at Opsis Eye Care. We are a growing full scope Optometry clinic located in the heart of Downtown Markham.

We provide comprehensive eye exams as well as glasses, contact lenses and specialty contact lenses to our patients to ensure they will have the best eyesight and eye health.

Opsis Eye Care is currently looking for a full-time and part-time optometric assistant/receptionist.

We are looking for a motivated, friendly, independent individual who is willing to learn, detail oriented, organized and has excellent customer service skills.

Schedule:

Days we are currently looking for: Weekdays and Weekends
Expected to start immediately

Requirements:

Fluent in English and proficient in Cantonese and/or Mandarin
Experience in an optometry setting is an asset but not required

Responsibilities:

Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner while building rapport with patients
Administrative duties include but not limited to answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining updated patient records, billing private insurance, billing OHIP, coordinate specialist referrals, maintaining electronic fax system, and other routine clerical tasks as assigned
Participate in personal and team development training and initiatives including staff meetings, continuing education and conferences
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures
Perform pretesting procedures such as autorefraction, autokeratometry, lensometry, topography, biometry and retinal imaging
Assist patients/customers in frame/lenses selection and doing minor repairs and adjustments on glasses
