We are building a world class procurement function comprised of three functional pillars; (1) Strategic Sourcing focused on our enterprise impacting category strategies and sourcing execution, (2) Procurement Operations providing exceptional support and advisement to our business unit stakeholders on a daily basis, and (3) Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) leading development and enhancement of our governance, data analytics and digital toolkit that collectively strives to enable procurement best practices and excellent end-user experience.


What you'll do:


The Procurement Advisor will be a key resource and partner advising and executing procurement activities for an assigned business unit.

You will collaborate with Procurement Strategic Sourcing Managers and the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) to facilitate necessary strategic sourcing and buying processes, ensuring overall goals and business objectives are met.

You will become an expert in the requirements, operations, and associated supplier landscape for your assigned business unit, ultimately anticipating needs to lower the time required between need identification and fulfilment.

Procurement Process Facilitation and Execution:You will prepare sourcing documents, manage sourcing processes, and facilitate supplier evaluation and contract award, including negotiating legal terms and conditions. You will investigate procurement issues, engage on complex projects, and translate business requirements into a technical design.

Supplier Relationship Management: You will monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance to contract scope, commercial and legal terms. You will also support supplier dispute resolution regarding any non-compliance or nonconformance that arise from contracted delivery of goods and services.

Center of Excellence: Digital Procurement Tools Sustainment:You will aim to understand the use of procurement processes, systems, and tools within your assigned business unit, leading the deployment and ongoing sustainment of each.

Communication Strategy & Change Management:You will play a key role in identifying areas of need within your assigned business unit in terms of communication, change, and training initiatives, supporting the delivery and adoption of agreed upon messaging.


Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Procurement and/or Supply Chain and:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a related field, and a completed Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) Diploma/Certificate or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 36 years of relevant experience in procurement and data analytics (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Experience in the following areas would be assets: sourcing and procurement at the operating unit or department level retail category management and analytics, FCL systems and data and retail merchandising analytics. Experience managing multiple projects would be an asset.
  • You have extensive experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
  • You are collaborative, open, honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
