- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor and report on clients' health status, changes in condition, or concerns to family members or healthcare providers
- Assist with specialized care needs such as working with individuals with disabilities
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Collect specimens
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus
- Provide companionship
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook
- Snow removal to clear client pathway
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, senior care, or home care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques
- Experience working with people with disabilities and eye-gaze a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when necessary
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
- Certification in medication administration or nursing background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
