Maintenance I position to join the growing team at our downtown Halifax location.


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, The
Maintenance I position assists in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Queen's Marque District, including the Muir Hotel in downtown Halifax.


What you will be doing:

The general presentation of the property in a first-class manner will be at the forefront of the role. Duties will include light maintenance, property protection, troubleshooting systems, guest services and responding to building issues.

Additional duties will also include the following:

  • Providing effective maintenance support to the property
  • Working safely and following maintenance procedures and protocols
  • Responding to fire alarms, intrusion alarms, electrical failures, water leaks, property damage etc.
  • Recording mechanical, electrical and water readings and on occasion reset a building system when requested by the Employer.
  • Touring common areas and keep areas free of individuals soliciting from customers and or tenants.
  • General presentation and maintaining the development in a firstclass manner, including ensuring building safety, using their own judgement or as directed by Employer.
  • Attending to tenant and guest inquiries any maintenance requests.
  • Coordinating, reviewing and managing of parking, parking allocation, valet parking, enforcement and revenue collecting.
  • Involvement in coordinating and delivering guest services and amenities.
  • Such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.
