APT is looking to hire a Delivery Driver. APT is a local family owned and operated business. For 40 years APT Auto Parts has been providing quality aftermarket parts for the collision industry throughout Canada. We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our outstanding team

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
Related experience in the transportation industry an asset
Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian driving rules and regulations
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong customer service ability.
Ability to prioritize
Team player
High level of integrity and work ethic

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for driving parts to various customers, and collecting payments in some cases.

This includes but is not limited to:

Provide excellent customer service while dropping off parts.
Operate and drive vehicles to transport goods to customers
Load vehicle with product in an efficient and organized manner to minimize damage to parts and speed up deliveries
Lift and move product up to 75 lbs.
Drive the company vehicle following all road rules, speed limits and in a courteous manner as a representative of APT Auto Parts Trading.
Ensure safe driving practices i.e.; having head lights on in inclement weather
Clean and make minor repairs to vehicle to maintain appropriate service levels
Provide feedback to management regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
Communicate with Warehouse Manager and other drivers to receive information, and updates
Check all loadrelated documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
Ensure that all C.O.D. orders are paid on delivery
Perform pretrip, en route, and posttrip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
