Position Information Position Title Part-Time Academic: SLWK 3140 Crisis Counselling - Winter Posting Number PTAP2441P Department/Unit Social Work Location Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 3140 Sec 01, "Crisis Counselling". The course will be offered in the Winter term, from January - April For a full course description, please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar. To confirm course times and locations, please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Timetable.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery. Qualifications/Requirements of Position REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Practice and knowledge base in crisis intervention and trauma informed practice A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience is preferred.
