    Description

    One of our client is looking for an Environmental & Technical Manager for their Company .The Environmental & Technical Manager leads the site's environmental management system requirements, ensures regulatory compliance, and coordinates plant improvement projects.

    He/ She provides technical support, process, and project engineering to plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, & environmentally secure plant operations (utilization of all assets, minimize production costs).

    Responsibilities
    Monitor relevant regulations to ensure compliance to all levels of regulatory requirements.

    Manage relationships with governmental entities with respect to compliance management and reporting,

    Develop, maintain, and implement site environmental plans, policies, procedures, and promote continuous improvement of these internal standards.

    Assist in identifying and implementing plant capital projects.

    Create and maintain high performing Environmental, Laboratory and Engineering teams through individual development, performance management and effective leadership.

    Supervise 3 Laboratory-process technicians.

    Develop and implement site environmental training programs, and ensure that the site employees, contractors, and visitors are trained in these standards as required.

    Lead and support incident investigations prepared by site responsible departments by analyzing incidents to identify root causes and areas of concern, and conduct trending analysis to promote continuous improvement.

    Preparation of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly environmental and regulatory compliance reporting.

    Promote good environmental and engineering practices throughout the site and share practices throughout the company.

    Qualifications
    Minimum 8 years of manufacturing/environmental experience

    Bachelor's degree in chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent

    Proven track record of process safety and environmental team leadership, and governmental regulator relationship management

    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, to promote employee engagement and ensure effective internal and external reporting.

    Ability to monitor and interpret the potential impact of process safety and environmental regulatory trends (local, national, and global) on the business.

    Strong analytical skills (problem solving, incident investigation, data analysis) to help in decision-making and judgments.

    RCRA experience and knowledge of the administration and reporting requirements for compliance is an asset.

    Auditing experience in environment, process safety or quality would be an asset.

    Occasional travel as the role requires.

    $100,000.00-$120,182.46 per year
