    The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure productivity. This role is responsible for managing the performance and work execution of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that maintenance activities are aligned with overall business objectives.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and technical support to all maintenance personnel improving maintenance procedures and effectiveness
    • Manage and control downtime and costs
    • Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing annual shutdown and assigned projects
    • Coordinate maintenance activities with all operational areas
    • Initiate purchase requisitions as required
    • Manage maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities. Ensure compliance to all preventative and predictive maintenance programs
    • Drive HACCP, 5S and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) responsibilities for ISO and OHSAS Standards
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement utilizing LEAN manufacturing tools and principles
    • Use appropriate RCPS techniques to help with operational improvements and ensure RCPC culture is embedded in operation
    • Control standards of work/service from contractors on site
    • All administrative duties: Manpower time and attendance, field follow-up, safe work permits, compliance with SOPs, accuracy of job descriptions, and departmental training is current and relevant for all reports
    • People management: Dealing with employee concerns, problems, discipline, grievances, etc.
    • Compliance with standard operating procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continuous improvement programs is a requirement of the job
    • Maintain good working relationship with all departments, staff, Beam Suntory resources, contractors and suppliers
    • Share the overall responsibility of implementing and maintaining best in class strategies ensuring standardized and efficient operations
    • Ensure budgeted items are expensed according to fiscal plan and where variances occur, identify and lead opportunities for improvement
    • Support productivity improvement initiatives using LEAN methodologies, finding better efficiencies, managing cost, labor, material, etc.
    • Investigate quality issues, define root causes, and implement corrective actions
    • Ensure accurate documentation of records and SAP entries

    Qualifications

    • Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
    • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team of maintenance technicians, provide guidance and support, and resolve conflicts is essential
    • Experience in Maintenance Operations, process control and performance measurement in a fast-paced Consumer Goods (FMCG)/Consumer Packaged Goods (CMG) preferably food or beverage manufacturing environment
    • Strong technical background in maintenance, including knowledge of mechanical and electrical
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with maintenance technicians, other departments, and senior management
    • Proficient in SAP = ERP and Microsoft Office Suite of products
    • Data entry accuracy and ability to troubleshoot SAP
    • Effective project management, time management and prioritization skills, and able to interpret engineering information and issue effective reports
    • Perform well in a dynamic change environment and manage conflicting priorities while multitasking
    • Must be self-motivated and proactive with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Be highly detailed and possess excellent problem resolution skills
    • Have good interpersonal and communication skills and able to influence maintenance culture positively towards the site vision
    • Role will require that PPE be worn at all times while on the plant site
