JOB REQUIREMENTS - MANDITORY

  • Flexible availability for all shifts; nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in a team environment or as on their own
  • Must have current Security Guard license
  • Current First Aid Certificate/CPR/AED
  • Must have valid Smart Serve certificate
  • Must have 2 years Security Services experience in special events
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time of required
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skill
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Knowledge of Private Property By Laws / Trespass to Property Ac
  • Knowledge of Municipal By Laws, Provincial Statutes, and Federal Statute
  • Knowledge of Liquor License Act
This position is a fast paced and high energy position. It is for people who enjoy working hard and enjoy interacting with the general public.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform bag and credential checks when requested
  • Respond to Client issues
  • Provide access control
  • To help and provide public order
  • Ensure all security related events are dealt with effectively
  • Must effectively communicate with all other event staff and managers, venue operations, event control center, security supervisor and Toronto Police Services
  • Must react urgently to security incidents as they arise on property during events
  • Be able to converse with the public in a polite and respectful manner at all times
  • Must take a proactive approach in providing a safe and secure environment during events
  • Maintain required written documentation.
  • Assist in emergency procedures
  • Collaborating with multiple agencies, staff, emergency response teams and additional security teams in coordinating the flow of events procedures
  • Static Protective Services / Enforcement of Provincial and Federal Statues.

Pay:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
