- Supervise and coordinate all laundry activities, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of linens.
- Monitor the condition of all linens; coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper for replacements when needed.
- Conduct bimonthly linen inventories.
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and safety of the laundry area.
- Ensure proper use of washing formulas, detergents, and machinery to achieve the best results with minimal wastage.
- Establish and maintain laundry schedules to meet the operational needs of the hotel.
- Accommodating special requests as needed (guest & staff laundry).
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate laundry team members.
- Schedule shifts and allocate duties to maintain smooth operations.
- Conduct regular training on fabric care, equipment handling, and hygiene standards.
- Evaluate staff performance and take corrective action when necessary.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure team alignment, communication and consistency.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all laundry machines and equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with the engineering department.
- Manage and monitor the inventory of linens, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Keep detailed records of linen usage and life span.
- Plan and evaluate uniform replacement needs.
- Adapt and react to emergency linen and/or uniform needs.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety and hygiene policies.
- Train staff in safe chemical handling, fire safety, and first aid procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
- Enforce safety procedures minimizing workplace accidents.
- 3–5 years' experience in hotel laundry operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of fabric care, laundry chemicals, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office and other software applications required for office projects and operations.

The Role
The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's laundry operations, ensuring linens are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. The role involves managing laundry staff, ensuring equipment is well-maintained, controlling costs, and maintaining consistent quality and efficiency in daily operations.
