Overview

The forklift driver is accountable for the safe movement and accurate storing, shipping, receiving, and staging of materials as directed.

Night Shift :
Sunday - Wednesday, 6:30PM - 5:30AM

ACCOUNTABILITES
Planning and Reporting (15%)

• Complete daily equipment maintenance inspection checklist
• Report any issues to maintenance for repairs

Production (35%)

• Operate various types of materialhandling equipment, such as forklift trucks, hand trucks, and Raymond Reach
• Move full drums totes and pallet loads of materials to designated storage areas as needed in an efficient, accurate and saft manner
• Count and pick orders
• Weigh and sort items for shipping
• Palletize finished products
• Label and secure pallet for shipment
• Maintain machinery in good working conditions and run

Line Efficiency (10%)

• Problem solve line issues, i.e., provide suggestions and recommendations to increase accuracy
• Determine inefficiencies and implement effective processes to increase overall line efficiency

Quality Control (25%)

• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy using an RF scanner
• Inspect ingoing and outgoing materials for damage and infestation
• Assess accuracy and stage completed orders

Health and Safety (15%)

• Safeguard around machinery and verity safe conditions prior to operating and throughout shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping and receiving areas

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Diploma, High School

Certifications

• Minimum two (2) years experience in similar environment
• Forklift Operator Training Certificate
• Raymond reach Forklift/Reach Truck Training Certificate

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role operates in a production environment; employees are exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, variable temperatures, and fragrances.
