Job Description:

As a Business Development Manager, you will join us at a crucial stage of our growth trajectory. Our company has experienced rapid expansion in recent years, and we are poised for even greater success.

This position will focus on new customer acquisition, identifying and contacting prospects through an outbound approach, and developing relationships with new customers.

You will also be responsible for deciding on high-potential pursuits, securing the corresponding bid opportunity and supporting the preparation of high-quality proposals.

In addition, the Business Development Manager will define the market requirements for current and future services and identify business opportunities and close sales.


The incumbent will work with decision-makers in Operations and Business Development to ensure that FLINT's products and services are correctly communicated to the market and will represent FLINT at industry organizations, meetings, and events.


What would you be doing?

  • Develop business plans and win strategies, including market size and timing, to ensure committed revenue growth and profitability.
  • Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective execution of opportunities while adhering to the written guidelines of our internal Gate Review policy.
  • Direct and coordinate activities promoting crossselling across all business offerings.
  • Update and maintain accurate records within our company CRM to ensure greater company alignment and communication.
  • Build customer loyalty through continuous communication, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Drive growth and expansion of existing business with key accounts and targets, focusing on crossselling our various service lines in step with the associated Operational Managers.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development and execution of action plans to access new markets (services and/or geographical).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate marketing plans as needed.
  • Solicit customer feedback on behalf of the company while supporting the resolution of customer complaints promptly.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products and services, facilitating the introduction of other company products and services to customers.
  • Gather requirements from prospects, evaluators and customers, and use those inputs to lead new service development prioritization plans.

Does this sound like you?

  • Indepth knowledge of the oil and gas industry is an asset.
  • Indepth knowledge of the Environmental service industry, including asset retirement, decommissioning, remediation and reclamation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Sales mentality; goaldriven and selfmotivated.
  • Competitive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work as an integrated part of the Business Development team.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Business Development role in the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on Environmental Services.
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in a business discipline or a technical degree related to environmental sciences.
