The Story Café is a fast-paced casual fine-dining restaurant in Richmond that is dedicated to providing high quality food with excellent service.

We are looking for an experienced individual who has drive, motivation and a passion for cooking while being a team player.

The RESTAURANT MANAGER is responsible for helping the restaurant meet service, sales and profit objectives, along with supervising and directing daily work activities.

Reporting to the General Manager, the RESTAURANT MANAGER assists with maintaining strong customer loyalty and ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience, each time they visit the restaurant.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position and environment
Proficient in MS office
Must have passion for the hospitality industry
Excellent leadership and motivation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to hold oneself and others accountable
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through as necessary
A clear thinker with the capacity to work well under timelines
Solid communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
Strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
Ability to work on all related apps on iPad and computer.
Liquor inventory
Bartending knowledge is a must

Making schedules for front of house weekly
Host, serve for customers when the team is busy
Lead the team to upper level
Able to cover shifts
Handle customers' complains and requests
