The Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Leader - Material Handler (Afternoon Shift) is responsible providing hands-on leadership to the production line while ensuring that production needs and quality standards are maintained.

The Team Leader will provide guidance and support for the day-to-day activities, including but not limited to training, coaching, guiding Team Members within the specified area of responsibility.

This will be accomplished by being a role model, leading by example and fostering an environment of mutual respect and team work amongst Team Members

Duties & Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Supervisor may conduct preshift huddles and provide feedback for Team Members on daily requirements
Scheduling of daily tasks to be carried out by their team
Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Members to meet departmental goals
Provide support to the Supervisor by assisting with schedule adherence and followingup with Team Members as needed
Investigate and resolve day to day issues pertaining to the flow of S&C products and materials
Provide onthejob new hire orientation/training to ensure that all new Team Members have the knowledge to perform their job successfully
Participate in Team Member evaluations within their team
Ensures a safe working environment at all times by enforcing S&C standards
May be required to perform general labor duties when needed in order to meet production needs

Minimum Requirements:

Can work the Afternoon Shift
High school diploma
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Good communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring others

- demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlineoriented environment
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset
Ability to follow a safetyfirst philosophy
