MISSSION
As a Machinist, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty be in charge of designing, creating and repairing machinery and tools and dies.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required Make, design and or repair tools at the request of Plant Manager and Lead Hands.
- Set Up Machinery.
- Design and build guards on machinery and all other safety requirements for machines.
- Set Up and operate the machines in the maintenance area to make parts for machines and make tools and dies.
- Design, build, repair, upgrade and maintain machinery.
- Perform general maintenance of the plant.
- Use measuring instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness of immediate area.
- Attend and participate in employee meetings/training.
- Follow Health Safety procedures.
- Follow ISO policies and procedures.
- Participate in product quality improvement.
- Other projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 3 years of experience as a machinist preferred.
- Millwright Maintenance Certificate preferred.
- Reading drawings and using measuring equipment.
- English speaking, reading and writing skills.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$25.14-$26.87 per hour
