Customer Support / Parts Supply Coordinator

Due to sustained growth we are currently looking for a
Customer Support / Parts Supply Coordinator to join our growing team.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and assist them in finding the parts they are looking for, including answering questions, educating on product usage and providing advice for maintenance and installation.
  • Intervene in situations where a customer is dissatisfied, and come up with creative solutions to maintain business when dealing with backorders, damaged parts etc.
  • Record all sales and customer transactions that occur in Descon Purchasing software.
  • Inspect returned parts to find defects and promptly assist the customer with a replacement parts.
  • Assist with purchasing of various components, and fabricated material related to the assembly and installation of conveyors.
  • Source new vendors and suppliers, get quotes for materials, ensuring Descon gets best pricing on all purchases.
  • Participate in fulfilling shipments of spare parts for Descon's clients.
  • Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contract vendors when there are discrepancies.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Customer relations management, and previous demonstration of salesmanship.
  • Strong work ethic and organization skills
  • Experience with order desk would be an asset.
  • Experience ordering hardware/spare parts is mandatory.
  • Previous work experience in the conveyor industry or manufacturing environment would be a significant asset.
  • Experience reading purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Computer proficient, especially with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Experience navigating Enterprise Resource Planning Software (ERP) software would be a significant asset.
